We’re seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Commercial Safety Manager to lead our safety program across multiple job sites. As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible not only for ensuring compliance and reducing risk, but also for educating subcontractors, promoting a safety-first culture, and contributing to project proposal development with detailed safety plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide safety programs and site-specific safety plans
- Lead safety orientations and ongoing training for subcontractors, field crews, and staff
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Create and maintain documentation including JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses), safety meeting logs, and reports
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure safety compliance throughout project lifecycles
- Write and contribute to safety sections of project proposals, bids, and RFPs
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related issues and regulatory interactions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of safety management experience in commercial construction
- OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 500 or CSP preferred)- NOT REQUIRED
- Proven experience training and coaching subcontractors or field crews
- Strong written communication skills for proposal writing and safety documentation
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed
