Job Description

The Senior Program Manager leads complex, multi-site medical injection molding and tooling programs from concept through launch and ongoing production. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Program Manager is a key business partner responsible for driving cross-functional alignment, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead the full lifecycle of major manufacturing programs, including planning, risk management, execution, and closure.
  • Oversee site-to-site program transfers, ensuring smooth relocation of tooling, processes, and documentation.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and financial performance reporting.
  • Drive program governance with structured reviews, milestone management, and executive reporting.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Direct cross-functional teams in Engineering, Tooling, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
  • Resolve conflicts, remove roadblocks, and maintain alignment between operations, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Lead make/buy decisions and manage global tooling design and build suppliers.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value customer programs.
  • Lead customer meetings, design reviews, and executive updates to ensure satisfaction and transparency.
  • Partner with Sales, Quality, and Operations on program profitability, delivery, and performance metrics.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and deploy standardized program management processes and templates.
  • Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing performance and cost efficiency.
  • Lead lessons-learned reviews, CAPA initiatives, and strategic continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience in medical device or injection molding manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership of large-scale or multi-site manufacturing programs.
  • Deep understanding of injection molding, tooling, and validation processes.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, MS Project, and ERP systems (IQMS, Epicor, or equivalent).
