Legal Assistant/Paralegal | Miami, FL (Dadeland Area – In-Office)
A busy and well-established plaintiff law firm in the Dadeland area is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support two attorneys in an active litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable managing files from pre-suit through trial and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, in-office environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage case files from inception through trial, ensuring organization and compliance with court deadlines
- Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other litigation documents
- Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Facilitate written discovery, including preparation and organization of requests and responses
- Manage trial logistics, organize exhibits and evidence, and assist attorneys during trial
- Handle E-filing in Florida state and federal courts
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in plaintiff personal injury or civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures and E-filing systems
- Ability to support multiple attorneys and manage deadlines independently
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Professional communication skills when interacting with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
