An established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to oversee operations at a rail-based facility in the Sandy Springs, GA area.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who understands the unique demands of rail, ethanol, bulk commodities, and trucking operations and can successfully manage people, safety, equipment, customers, and day-to-day terminal performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee daily terminal operations involving rail and truck movements
- Manage the safe and efficient loading, unloading, transfer, and movement of product
- Lead, coach, and develop terminal employees and operating personnel
- Coordinate railcar and truck activity to maintain efficient product flow
- Manage terminal productivity, operating costs, maintenance, and performance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, environmental, hazmat, and company safety requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with railroad partners, trucking companies, customers, vendors, and contractors
- Monitor inventory, terminal documentation, operating records, and reporting
- Oversee preventative maintenance and terminal equipment reliability
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues and emergencies
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, service, and profitability
- Maintain a strong culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Proven management experience in a terminal, rail, trucking, bulk liquid, fuel, ethanol, or related industrial operation
- Ethanol experience is required
- Rail experience is required
- Trucking/transportation experience is required
- Strong understanding of terminal operations and rail-to-truck logistics
- Experience leading employees in a safety-sensitive environment
- Strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operating environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to be hands-on and present in the operation

COMPENSATION
$100,000–$145,000 base salary, depending on experience
