Litigation Attorney
About:
Our client is a dynamic and growing boutique law firm with a national practice focused on appellate advocacy and litigation strategy. The firm is expanding its diversified practice and seeking talented attorneys to join the team.
Position Overview:
Theuy are looking for attorneys to augment our defense of high-exposure personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The role involves conducting legal research, preparing evaluations, drafting pre-trial motions and appellate briefs, participating in mediations and mock trials, and when appropriate, covering trials in a monitoring or appellate capacity in New York and other jurisdictions across the country.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review case information to assist in determining viable litigation strategies
- Collaborate with experts and trial counsel to implement litigation strategies
- Prepare written evaluations and other reports for clients
- Draft motions, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs
Job Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate Degree required
- Previous experience in insurance coverage, personal injury, or medical malpractice defense preferred
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, experts, co-counsel, and clients
