We have been retained by a growing law firm located in the MetroWest region of Greater Boston to search for a Commercial and General Litigation Attorney.

Overview

The law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated litigation attorney to join their expanding team. They have several practice areas including litigation, employment law, business law, workers’ compensation, and real estate. The ideal candidate will represent clients in commercial litigation matters and be willing to handle a variety of general litigation matters. This role requires exceptional legal research and writing skills, the ability to manage a diverse caseload and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in commercial and general litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other court filings.
  • Manage all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. Actual trial experience is not required.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve client objectives effectively and efficiently.
  • Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions, where applicable.
  • Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and precedents relevant to commercial and general litigation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.  

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree form an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.
  • 3-10 years’ experience in commercial and general litigation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in handling commercial disputes
  • Familiarity with e-discovery tools and litigation software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
