Open Table Fitter | Heavy Fabrication

We’re working with a stable, family-owned manufacturer that has been serving customers for decades and continues to grow through innovation and quality. They are seeking an experienced Open Table Fitter to join their 1st shift team and support large weldment and heavy plate fit-up operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform open table fit-up of large parts, heavy plate, and complex weldments
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate layout and assembly
  • Utilize Solid Wire or Flux Core processes during fit-up and tack welding
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and rigging to position large components
  • Measure, square, and verify tolerances using appropriate tools
  • Collaborate with welders and supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Maintain safety, accuracy, and productivity standards at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of fit-up experience in heavy fabrication or large-part manufacturing
  • Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
  • Experience with Solid Wire or Flux Core welding
  • Comfortable operating cranes, rigging, or related equipment (training provided if needed)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
