A growing company is adding a National Business Development Representative to its Commercial Waste Services team. This is a hunter-style, new business sales role focused on selling recurring commercial waste and recycling services and building long-term, profitable customer relationships.
You’ll have the backing of an established brand, strong operations, and ongoing sales training (including Sandler Sales Training) while you focus on bringing in new customers and revenue.
What This Person Will Do
Hunt for New Business
Proactively prospect and develop a pipeline of commercial accounts
Engage decision-makers, educate them on service differentiation, and win new recurring business
Drive a Sales Strategy
Execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales quotas
Conduct onsite visits, present solutions, negotiate contracts, and close deals
Collaborate & Follow Through
Partner with pricing and implementation teams to ensure smooth start-up
Maintain strong relationships after the sale to drive satisfaction and referrals
Use Data & Tools
Track activities, pipeline, and results in CRM
Provide accurate weekly / monthly / quarterly forecasting
Represent the Brand
Attend selected networking events and trade shows
Travel regionally as needed to support growth
Ideal Background
2+ years of outside “hunter” sales experience, preferably selling services or recurring revenue solutions
Experience in waste & recycling or related industries is a plus but not required
Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working remotely with field travel
Compensation & Earning Potential
Commission:
One-time commission payouts tied to contract length and gross profit
Longer-term contracts pay higher commission (for example, 60-month terms pay more than 12-month terms)
Recurring revenue services (monthly service/rent/haul) are commission-eligible
