Tax Supervisor - Private Client

Location: Tysons Corner, VA (or Columbia, MD)

Overview

A nationally ranked accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Services Tax Supervisor. Tysons Corner, Virginia is among the listed offices (Columbia, MD also listed). The role prepares and reviews complex high-net-worth individual and trust and estate returns and supervises staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex high-net-worth individual income tax and trust and estate returns
• Review mid-level complexity high-net-worth individual and trust and estate returns
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Train and supervise staff accountants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's in taxation preferred
• CPA license preferred or plan to obtain
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
