Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of products by leveraging expertise in technology, materials, and manufacturing methods. This role involves designing, modeling, testing, and prototyping, while collaborating with engineers, manufacturing teams, product managers, and commercial stakeholders. Additionally, the Senior Design Engineer will engage directly with key customer decision-makers to understand requirements and drive innovative design solutions.

In this role, you will supervise and mentor a team of 1 to 3 designers, setting expectations, delegating tasks, and ensuring projects meet targets and goals. You will assess team performance, provide real-time feedback, and create development plans to enhance skill levels. Utilizing capacity planning tools, you will determine engineering capacity needs to align with production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify and extend existing components, subassemblies, and system designs within Modified Standards to maintain high-quality product standards.
• Ensure excellence in materials, design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance for modified and extended product lines.
• Collaborate with Production departments to provide engineering support and optimize manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain standard practices, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing across the department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
