Traveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Pay: $110,000–$150,000 base salary, plus per diem, bonus and benefits
A well-established commercial builder based in the Chicago area is looking for a Traveling Superintendent to lead projects across the Midwest and beyond. You'll run the field on commercial work such as retail, office, healthcare, hospitality and light industrial projects, with a company that takes care of its traveling field leaders and keeps a steady pipeline of work.
What You'll Do
• Lead field operations on out-of-town projects from mobilization through closeout
• Build and manage the site schedule, including three-week look-aheads
• Hire, coordinate and lead local subcontractors, vendors and inspections
• Keep the jobsite safe, organized and in line with company safety standards
• Track quality, manage punch lists and help with turnover to the owner
• Keep the project manager and owner updated on progress, risks and changes
What You Bring
• 5+ years of superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor
• Willingness to travel for project assignments
• A track record of delivering ground-up or interior commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of building systems, sequencing and scheduling
• OSHA 30 (or willingness to get it) and a safety-first mindset
• Comfort with Procore, MS Project or P6, and Microsoft Office
• Clear, steady communication and a team-first leadership style
What We Offer
