Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney
Location: Remote (California license required)
I am partnering directly with leadership at a nationally recognized civil litigation and insurance-focused platform that is expanding its insurance coverage group. This team handles complex coverage and litigation matters for sophisticated insurer and corporate clients and offers meaningful responsibility, remote flexibility, and clear long-term growth within a well-established coverage practice.
The compensation structure for this role is market-competitive and commensurate with experience, with generous performance-based bonuses, full benefits, and a 401(k) with employer matching.
What We Need
1–20 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense, employment litigation—plaintiff or defense—or other complex civil litigation)
Active California Bar license in good standing (candidates in or outside CA eligible; preference for attorneys in IL, MO, NJ, or PA licensed in CA)
Interest in insurance coverage and related litigation work
Ability to manage a litigation docket, including motion practice, discovery, and client communication
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Solid, consistent professional track record
What You’ll Do
Work as part of the insurance coverage group supporting California-focused coverage and litigation matters
Handle coverage analysis, motion practice, discovery, and case strategy for insurer and corporate clients
Collaborate with senior coverage and litigation attorneys on complex matters
Maintain billable expectations of approximately 1,900 hours per year
