IT Support Specialist – Travel

Remote-Based | Approximately 75% Travel

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 + Bonus + Employee Ownership

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with users, and traveling to different locations?

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join a growing Information Technology team. This position is remote-based with approximately 75% travel to branch offices, customer sites, and project locations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of IT support experience, including Tier 2 troubleshooting of hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support across multiple locations

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, networking, and infrastructure issues

  • Travel approximately 75% to offices, project sites, and other business locations

  • Resolve escalated Tier 1 support requests

  • Diagnose complex technical problems and perform root cause analysis

  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain IT hardware and systems

  • Support remote offices and multi-site operations

  • Prioritize support requests based on urgency and business impact

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and end users

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation

  • Track travel expenses, mileage, receipts, and related reporting

  • Deliver exceptional customer service both remotely and onsite

  • Assist with IT projects, deployments, and implementations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of IT support or related technical experience

  • Tier 2 troubleshooting experience strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of operating systems, computer hardware, and networking concepts

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently

  • Experience supporting multiple locations or remote offices preferred

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader IT team

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to travel by air and ground transportation

  • Willingness to travel approximately 75%, including overnight travel

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Certifications including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials are a plus.
