About the Company:
A leading manufacturer of structural insulated panels is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter to join its drafting and design team. The company specializes in high-performance, energy-efficient building solutions for residential and commercial construction and values precision, innovation, and collaboration.


Job Summary:

The Drafter will create comprehensive and accurate shop drawings and panel layouts using Revit and AutoCAD. This role requires interpreting architectural and structural plans to produce manufacturable panel drawings that support production, project management, and installation. The ideal candidate is experienced with SIPs or prefabricated construction and thrives in a fast-paced design environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed SIP panel layouts and shop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints and specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability.

  • Revise and update drawings based on design changes, redlines, or field conditions.

  • Support estimating and production departments with technical drawing documentation.

  • Maintain and improve drawing templates, block libraries, and drafting standards.

  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and project timelines.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is desired.

  • 1+ years of drafting experience in construction, architecture, or panelized building systems preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods and blueprint interpretation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
