Looking to add a Senior Truss Designer or a rockstar Design Manager to the team. This is a great spot for someone who loves complex residential and custom home design, values strong customer relationships, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurate work.
What This Role Looks Like
You’ll be the go-to expert for structural truss design—supporting builders, homeowners, and internal teams while turning out efficient, clean, highly detailed work. This company is customer-centric, and you’ll be a visible, trusted resource who knows clients by name, communicates directly, and follows projects all the way through.
For candidates ready to step into (or continue in) a Design Manager role, you’ll also lead the department, troubleshoot the toughest design challenges, mentor others, and help enforce process and standards.
What You’ll Do
Produce high-quality structural truss designs for residential and custom homes
Work directly with customers—answer questions, provide guidance, and stay engaged throughout the project
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery
Tackle complex custom designs with confidence
Ensure designs meet building codes, engineering requirements, and company standards
For Design Manager track: lead the design team, enforce policies, troubleshoot escalated issues, and support continuous improvement
What You Bring
7+ years of truss design experience
Strong background in complex residential and custom home design
Alpine software experience strongly preferred (MiTek considered)
High attention to detail with a passion for quality
Strong communication skills—friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
Ability to work on-site full-time (with one remote day per week)
Leadership experience for those targeting the Design Manager seat
