Project Manager – Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Miscellaneous Metals to oversee the successful execution of commercial and industrial miscellaneous metals projects from award through closeout. This role is ideal for a project manager with 3-5+ years of experience managing technical miscellaneous metals packages, including stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, ornamental metals, and other custom fabricated steel components.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, procurement, fabrication coordination, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage miscellaneous metals projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Coordinate detailing, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation activities.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project scope.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and cost reporting.
  • Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve scheduling or production issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the life of each project.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of project management experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, or architectural metals.
  • Experience managing miscellaneous metals packages including stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, canopies, and ornamental metals.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and installation processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office; Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms are a plus.
