Working in construction accounting around Jefferson City and looking for a move up? A well-established construction company headquartered just up the road in Columbia, Missouri needs a Controller to lead finance and accounting for the business and its subsidiaries. You'll partner directly with ownership and senior leadership, and the role requires relocating to Columbia.

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000+ annual salary, plus up to a 30% bonus.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and present board-level financial reviews for ownership and the leadership team
• Run the percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing cycle
• Prepare monthly WIP reports and review over/under billings
• Direct consolidations and intercompany activity across the subsidiaries
• Steer cash flow, liquidity planning, and investment oversight
• Drive an on-time monthly close and dependable reporting for every entity

Requirements:

• Must be willing to relocate to Columbia, MO
• Background as a Controller or senior accounting leader at a construction company
• Deep working knowledge of WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion billing
• Track record handling subsidiary consolidations and multi-entity accounting
• Experience overseeing investments and managing cash flow
• Confidence preparing financial reviews for a board
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
