A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Salt Lake City team. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project management and administration.
- Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Track submittals, RFIs, procurement, materials, and project schedules.
- Assist with project budgets, change orders, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
- Participate in project meetings and help resolve construction-related issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and logs.
- Support quality control, safety, scheduling, and project closeout.
- Develop strong relationships with project partners and help maintain a collaborative jobsite environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership.
- Ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel.
