Personal Injury Defense Attorney – Civil Litigation
Location: Tampa, FL (In-Office)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Salary: Starting at $100,000+ (commensurate with experience)
A respected Tampa-based civil litigation firm is seeking a seasoned Personal Injury Defense Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our growing litigation team. This is a full-time, in-office role for a trial-ready attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a personal injury caseload from intake through trial or settlement
Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances
Collaborate with clients, adjusters, and colleagues to build strategic legal defenses
Maintain billing efficiency with a monthly target of 150 hours
Requirements:
JD from an accredited law school
Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing
Minimum 5 years of personal injury or insurance defense experience
Trial experience (minimum of 3 tried cases required)
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with insurance defense litigation and Florida civil procedure
Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in legal tech and document management systems
