Tax Senior

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (or Denver, CO)

Overview

A boutique Colorado CPA firm focused on closely held middle-market businesses and non-profit organizations is seeking a Tax Senior. The firm goes beyond standard compliance work with a consultative approach. The role can be based in Colorado Springs or Denver, with occasional work-from-home options and flexible start times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax advisory services and planning
• Review and manage staff deliverables, including tax returns, tax planning and other compliance for all entity types and individuals
• Engage in consulting and special projects as assigned by directors and clients
• Help manage client relationships as assigned by directors and managers
• Assist in managing, developing and coaching professional tax staff
• Provide value-added client service and participate in community involvement activities

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting; master's degree a plus
• CPA license a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ProSystems and Adobe; sound knowledge of QuickBooks
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong supervisory and team-building skills
