Looking for your next estimating role in steel? A steel fabricator and erector serving the East Bay and Northern California needs an Estimator who can price structural and miscellaneous steel packages from the shop through erection. Projects span light commercial, residential, and industrial work.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, coatings, and freight
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection
• Coordinate constructability and handoff with project managers, the shop, and field crews
• Review plans and specifications for scope gaps, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
• Develop competitive bids and proposals for light commercial, residential, and industrial projects

Requirements:

• Blueprint reading skills
• Background in steel estimating covering fabrication and erection
• Familiarity with structural and miscellaneous metals packages
• Nice to have: Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software
