Insurance Defense Attorney: Own Your Files and Build Your Trial Skills in Tampa

Are you a litigator who enjoys owning your files and getting in front of judges, juries, and mediators? We are working with a highly regarded insurance defense firm in Tampa that is seeking a General Liability / Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a meaningful caseload, sharpen your trial skills, and build a long-term career alongside experienced, supportive colleagues.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
• Attend and argue at hearings, mediations, and trials
• Prepare case evaluations and status reports for clients and insurance carriers
• Develop strategic, cost-effective case plans in partnership with clients
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or general liability
• Experience taking and defending depositions and handling hearings; trial experience is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a busy caseload
• Client-focused mindset and a clear, professional communication style
