Growing Civil Litigation Practice in Tampa Seeks Insurance Defense Attorneys

A well-established and well-respected firm with multiple locations in Florida is adding attorneys to its civil litigation practice in Tampa due to growth in its client base. You will represent the firm's insurance company clients, their insureds, and corporate clients in all facets of civil litigation.

You will manage cases independently and as part of a case team, with the backing of an expanding firm.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload independently and as part of a case team
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Correspond with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Conduct legal and factual research
• Provide guidance to law clerks and junior associates

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience in insurance defense, general liability, professional liability, products liability, and/or construction defect
• Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills
• Deposition and hearing experience; trial experience is a plus
• A highly team-oriented approach
