Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is adding a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to chase large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the job includes Midwest travel.

Responsibilities include

• Steer pursuits on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Win new steel erection work with general contractors and owners in Midwest markets
• Follow bid windows, competitor plays, and upcoming regional projects
• Travel the Midwest to strengthen client relationships and move pursuits to award
• Act as the client-facing representative of an AISC-certified Michigan erector

What you should bring

• Prior BD or sales work in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience landing large Midwest projects measured in tonnage
• Preferred: a network of general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Willing to travel throughout the Midwest
• Strong communication skills and a proven closing track record
