Job Description

Bring your steel construction network to an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector that focuses on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and involves Midwest travel.

Core duties

• Generate new steel erection business with general contractors and owners across the Midwest
• Track bids, competitors, and future Midwest projects so the team is ready to pursue
• Head up pursuit strategy for structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Travel through the Midwest to meet clients and keep pursuits moving
• Serve as a trusted face for an AISC-certified Michigan erector

What helps you succeed

• Experience selling or developing business in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Proven ability to win large Midwest tonnage projects
• Existing ties to general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Ready to travel across the Midwest
• Strong communicator who converts opportunities into awards
