EHS Coordinator in Versailles

Job Description

gpac is working with a growing food manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on EHS Coordinator to support plant operations and drive a strong safety and compliance culture. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who enjoys partnering with teams on the floor and leading key safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the site’s EHS goals, programs, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up training.

  • Manage workers’ compensation and injury claims.

  • Maintain Emergency Action Plans (EAP) and support PSM for ammonia refrigeration.

  • Conduct safety audits and deliver ongoing training (LOTO, machine guarding, ergonomics, PIV, etc.).

  • Lead monthly safety meetings and engage employees in hazard prevention.

  • Assist with environmental programs including wastewater and air reporting.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in EHS or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of EHS experience; OSHA 10 required.

  • Strong communication and computer skills (CMMS, regulatory reporting, Microsoft Office).

  • Preferred: Food manufacturing experience, OSHA 30, PSM knowledge, wastewater/pre-treatment experience.

Work Environment Food processing environment with varying temperatures, machinery, chemicals, and noise. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
