Job Description

Overview A well-established specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with strong masonry and façade restoration experience. This role oversees day-to-day field operations on commercial projects involving building envelope restoration, masonry repairs, waterproofing, and concrete/parking structure work. The Superintendent ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site crews performing masonry, façade restoration, concrete repair, and waterproofing

  • Coordinate workforce, trades, and subcontractors across active projects

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain job schedules

  • Oversee masonry scopes including tuckpointing, brick/block repair, stone restoration, and sealant work

  • Ensure proper installation techniques and quality control for restoration and waterproofing systems

  • Communicate daily with foremen and field technicians

  • Monitor project budgets, material usage, and productivity

  • Promote and enforce jobsite safety with a goal of zero incidents

  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety policies

  • Document progress using daily reports, photographs, and as-builts

  • Approve timecards, material orders, and equipment invoices

  • Assist with training and development of field personnel

Qualifications

  • Strong background in masonry construction, restoration, or building envelope work is highly preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, details, and specifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar)

  • Bilingual fluency is a plus

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction supervision; masonry and restoration project experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to work at heights using scaffolding, lifts, and ladders

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift 50+ pounds as required
