Bookkeeper

Cattle & Agricultural Operations

My client is looking for a Bookkeeper who enjoys being at the center of a growing cattle business.

This is more than a basic bookkeeping role. You'll help keep the financial side of a cattle operation running smoothly by managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and providing the financial information leadership relies on to make decisions.

Location

• Hybrid in Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Omaha

What You'll Do

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions
• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries
• Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
• Track expenses, inventory-related transactions, and operational costs
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end close activities
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial analysis
• Maintain organized records and ensure financial accuracy across the operation

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
• Agricultural, cattle, farming, trucking, construction, manufacturing, or inventory-based business experience is a plus
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred but not required
