Job Description

Support expansion of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector by winning Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time Business Development Manager opening at $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and Midwest travel.

Role responsibilities

• Win new steel erection work by engaging Midwest general contractors and owners
• Lead pursuit playbooks for structural steel packages on 5,000+ ton jobs
• Track bid timing, competitor behavior, and Midwest project pipelines
• Carry the brand of an AISC-certified Michigan erector into client rooms
• Travel across the Midwest to strengthen ties and advance pursuits

Who should apply

• Business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Comfort winning large-tonnage work across Midwest markets
• Preferred relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Ready to travel Midwest as needed
• Effective communicator with a consistent close rate on pipeline opportunities
