Job Description

Help scale an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector across the region by landing Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time Business Development Manager role at $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives with Midwest travel.

Primary responsibilities

• Build a Midwest steel erection opportunity book with general contractors and owners
• Direct pursuit strategy for large structural packages of 5,000+ tons
• Map competitor activity, bid schedules, and project flow
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in external client settings
• Travel across Midwest states to deepen relationships and progress pursuits

Background that fits

• Business development or sales experience spanning steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Comfortable competing for Midwest projects in the 5,000+ ton range
• Preferred ties to general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Able to travel throughout the Midwest
• Persuasive communicator with a history of closing deals
