Safety Manager – Commercial General Contractor

A leading Commercial General Contractor is actively seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and implement safety programs across multiple job sites. Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Safety Manager across all active construction projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain job-specific safety plans and company-wide safety programs.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and prevent accidents.

  • Lead safety training and orientation for new hires, subcontractors, and field personnel.

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to promote jobsite safety culture.

  • Maintain all safety documentation and reporting for internal records and client compliance.

Safety Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years of safety experience in commercial construction, preferably with a General Contractor.

  • OSHA 30 (minimum); CHST or other safety certifications a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel to local job sites as needed.
