A growing Chicago-area engineering and construction management firm is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead roadway and transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

This is an opportunity for an experienced transportation engineer to take ownership of significant projects, lead engineering teams, work directly with public-sector clients, and continue growing into a senior leadership role within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead roadway and transportation design projects from planning through final design
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Lead and mentor engineering staff
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and project stakeholders
  • Oversee preparation of roadway plans, specifications, estimates, and technical documentation
  • Support projects for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, CDOT, counties, municipalities, and other transportation agencies
  • Participate in client development and pursuit of future transportation work

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Approximately 10+ years of transportation engineering experience
  • Strong roadway/highway design background
  • Experience managing transportation projects and engineering teams
  • Experience with IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway projects strongly preferred
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or Bentley transportation design software
  • Strong communication, client-facing, and project leadership skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary of approximately $125,000–$175,000, depending on experience
