Position Overview: The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing a team of 16 maintenance technicians and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all plant systems. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and problem-solving, particularly with cooler and conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will bring both strong technical skills and proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or meat processing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians across shifts.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
Monitor equipment performance and implement preventative maintenance programs.
Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance are met.
Collaborate with plant leadership to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership and management skills, preferably in a production or processing environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, and refrigeration equipment.
Experience working with cooler and conveyor systems is required.
Background in the meat industry or similar food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
