Job Title: Lead Installer

Position Summary

The Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing installation projects from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves hands-on installation, crew leadership, problem-solving on job sites, and clear communication with project managers, clients, and team members. The Lead Installer sets the pace, maintains safety compliance, and ensures successful completion of all installation projects. Must have previous signange industry experience! Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead a small team of installers on commercial and industrial installation projects.

  • Review project plans, drawings, and installation instructions to ensure accuracy.

  • Coordinate job site activities, including equipment needs, timelines, and workflow.

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, contractors, and supervisors.

  • Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and client expectations.

Hands-On Installation

  • Install a wide range of structures, components, and systems using power tools, lifts, ladders, and rigging equipment.

  • Perform site layout, measurement, anchoring, leveling, and calibration work.

  • Execute electrical connections on low-voltage systems when applicable (following local code).

  • Troubleshoot fit, alignment, or structural issues in the field.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements at all times.

  • Conduct daily safety checks, toolbox talks, and job site hazard assessments.

  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of tools, vehicles, and lifting equipment.

Quality Control

  • Inspect completed work for structural integrity, proper alignment, and finish quality.

  • Document installation progress, issues, and job completion using company systems.

  • Communicate any deviations, concerns, or design challenges to project managers.

Team Management

  • Train new installers on proper installation, safety, and workmanship.

  • Assign daily tasks and ensure crew productivity.

  • Provide performance feedback and support team development.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of installation experience in the signage industry. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and site plans.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, lifts, and rigging equipment.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to work at heights, lift up to 75 lbs, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
