Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer

A well-established 20+ year legacy company that manufactures for several industries, including aerospace, auto, and others, is growing!

They are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with eight or more years of industrial experience as an EE or similar, demonstrating a solid electrical and mechanical competence base, designing, developing, or supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment or systems for industrial use. 

They are a close-knit group of about 30 members in the shop. They're more than just a team; they're people who work together to complete projects. The work schedule is a day shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Assistance with startups (travel less than 5%).

Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer: 

  • Industrial Experience a Must.
  • Review and apply pertinent EE codes or standards required by industry or customers to the design of systems.
  • Mastery of understanding schematics, prints, and drawings and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bonus: Experience building or around combustion systems in mfg. Heat treats metals, e.g., casting, heat-treating, furnaces, etc.
  • This is not a "controls engineer" position. Some PLC competence is beneficial but not required.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to generate electrical schematics for customer approval and assembly by PFS electricians.
  • Assure product quality by designing electrical test methods and testing the capabilities of the finished system.
  • Training personnel and customers

Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, related field, or
  • Equivalent accumulated applicable experience competence
  • AutoCAD.
