Mechanical Construction Purchasing Agent

Overview:

We’re hiring a Purchasing Manager to manage material and equipment procurement.

Responsibilities

• Process material and equipment purchase orders daily

• Select reliable, cost-effective suppliers

• Enter and file purchase orders in Vista by Viewpoint

• Work with vendors to confirm pricing and delivery

• Reconcile and file vendor order acknowledgements

• Collaborate with Project Managers for purchase details

• Obtain quotes from multiple vendors as needed

• Coordinate material deliveries with vendors and warehouse staff

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Purchasing Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical systems, parts

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• SAP, Oracle, ERP System, Gemilius, Box, ISG, and Smartsheet's

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
