Personal Injury Paralegal

Our Chicago-based law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our litigation team. We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience supporting personal injury matters on either the plaintiff or defense side. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative legal team where your experience will be valued, and you'll play an integral role in supporting attorneys through every stage of the litigation process.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation
  • Draft, prepare, and organize pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other case-related documentation
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Maintain case files, litigation calendars, and critical deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with settlement preparation and trial support

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of personal injury paralegal experience (plaintiff or defense)
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process from case inception through resolution
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $85,000 – $105,000, depending on experience
