Job Description

Burn Table Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift 

We’re working with a stable, family-owned manufacturer that has been serving customers for decades and continues to grow through innovation and quality. They are seeking experienced Burn Table Operators to join their team on 2nd and 3rd shift to support precision cutting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up burn tables for structural shapes and 3D parts
  • Perform oxygen piercing, fuel gas bevel cutting, and plasma functions
  • Load CNC programs and adjust for optimal cut quality with minimal dross
  • Calculate correct speeds for various materials and thicknesses
  • Inspect first-piece and random parts using shop order packets and measuring tools
  • Verify part quality, manage documentation, and ensure safe operations at all times
  • Provide input on process improvements while maintaining a team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience operating a burn table
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and use measuring devices
  • Strong math skills (fractions, ratios, percentages)
  • Comfortable operating cranes, forklifts, or stand-up equipment (training provided if needed)
