A great opportunity awaits at a prestigious full-service business law firm in California as they seek an Associate Attorney with 4 to 7 years of experience in trust and estate litigation. Additional experience in business, commercial, and real estate law is preferred. As a Litigation Associate, you will contribute to a wide variety of complex litigation matters, working closely with senior attorneys while managing cases from start to finish. You will be expected to demonstrate strong legal skills, a proven track record of success, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle trust and estate litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, from case inception through trial, with a focus on delivering favorable results.
  • Assist in complex business, commercial, and real estate litigation matters as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, such as briefs, complaints, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions in challenging cases.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 4-7 years of experience in trust and estate litigation, with additional experience in business, commercial, and real estate law preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters and achieve measurable results.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
