Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to win Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the role includes Midwest travel.

What you'll drive

• Develop steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across Midwest markets
• Lead pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons from first contact through award
• Travel the Midwest to build relationships and keep pursuits moving
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry settings
• Track bid timing, competitor activity, and the regional project pipeline

What you bring

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• A record of winning large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Willing to travel throughout the Midwest
• Strong communicator who closes work
