Job Description

Grow the book of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector focused on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager seat pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and calls for Midwest travel.

Day-to-day

• Open doors with general contractors and owners for new steel erection work
• Shape pursuit strategy on major structural packages of 5,000+ tons
• Stay ahead of competitors, bid calendars, and Midwest project forecasts
• Travel across the Midwest to advance pursuits and deepen client ties
• Carry the brand of an AISC-certified Michigan erector into meetings and events

Background that fits

• Sales or BD experience with steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience competing for large Midwest tonnage work
• A network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners is a plus
• Open to frequent Midwest travel
• Persuasive communicator with a habit of closing
