Job Description

Help an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector land more of the Midwest's biggest steel jobs, projects of 5,000+ tons. The permanent full-time Business Development Manager role pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and includes Midwest travel.

Core responsibilities

• Build a steady pipeline of steel erection work from owners and general contractors
• Run pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Monitor upcoming bids, competitor positioning, and regional pipelines
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at industry events
• Travel the Midwest to grow accounts and push pursuits to award

Ideal experience

• Business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Success chasing large-tonnage projects in the Midwest
• Preferred contacts with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Midwest
• Clear communicator who converts opportunities into awards
