Accounts Payable / Accountant
Full-Time | Atlanta, GA | Construction Industry
A well-respected general contractor in Atlanta is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join their team. Ideal candidates will bring prior experience in residential and/or commercial construction, with a strong understanding of project-based financial workflows.
What You'll Do:
Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and check runs
Maintain organized records of project expenses
Assist with month-end closing and job cost reports
Work closely with Project Managers and leadership on budget tracking
Support overall accounting operations as needed
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience in construction accounting or AP
Familiarity with construction-specific software (e.g., Sage, Foundation, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and time management
Knowledge of lien waivers, COIs, and subcontractor compliance is a plus
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
