Job Title: Traveling Technician – Aggregate/Heavy Equipment

Location: Georgia (Travel Required)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Technician to provide maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on aggregate and heavy equipment. The role will involve travel throughout Georgia, some parts of Alabama, and South Carolina, with a focus on servicing a variety of aggregate production equipment, including stationary, portable, and track-mounted systems. This position will cover a wide range of services for our clients, including:

  • Preventive maintenance services for all makes and models of equipment
  • Aggregate plant maintenance, repair, and wear part replacement
  • Hydraulic Hammer rebuilds
  • Inspections
  • Crusher rebuilds
  • Welding
  • Equipment installations and start-ups
  • On-site training for client personnel

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to job sites across Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina to perform service on aggregate and heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on stationary, portable, and track-mounted equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance services for a wide range of makes and models.
  • Perform aggregate plant maintenance, repair, and wear part replacements.
  • Oversee hydraulic hammer rebuilds, crusher rebuilds, and welding services.
  • Complete equipment installations and provide start-up assistance.
  • Perform thorough inspections and communicate findings to clients.
  • Deliver on-site training to client teams to ensure proper equipment use and care.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Build strong client relationships through excellent communication and service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with aggregate production and/or heavy equipment (stationary, portable, and track-mounted systems).
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage service tasks efficiently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and be on-call as needed for emergency repairs.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment and work in varying outdoor conditions.
