Litigation Paralegal Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting litigation attorneys through all phases of case preparation and management, from pre-litigation to post-trial. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment while gaining exposure to complex legal matters.

 

Litigation Paralegal Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and maintained in accordance with court rules.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and assist in preparing trial materials.
  • Coordinate the discovery process, including document production, review, and analysis.
  • Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and other materials for court hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Assist with preparing and filing court documents electronically, ensuring adherence to filing deadlines and local rules.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel to schedule meetings, depositions, and other events.
  • Track case deadlines and manage case calendars to ensure compliance with statutes of limitations and court deadlines.
  • Provide support in trial preparation, including attending trials and taking notes as necessary.
  • Ensure all work is performed with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Litigation Paralegal Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Paralegal certification or degree in Paralegal Studies.
