Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Flexographic Press Operator to join a growing production team specializing in high-quality pressure sensitive labels. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses while producing consistent, high-quality products that meet customer specifications and production schedules.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in producing exceptional print quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate flexographic printing presses for pressure sensitive label production.
  • Review work orders and verify materials, colors, plates, substrates, and specifications before each production run.
  • Install printing plates, dies, anilox rolls, sleeves, inks, and other press components.
  • Perform press make-readies, color matching, and registration adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Monitor production throughout each run, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify color accuracy, print registration, and overall product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot press issues and perform minor mechanical adjustments to minimize downtime.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance and keep equipment in excellent operating condition.
  • Accurately document production information, waste, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of flexographic press operating experience required.
  • Experience printing pressure sensitive labels is strongly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of printing or converting experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot press-related issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
