Job Description

gpac is working with a dairy manufacturing company south of La Crosse, Wisconsin seeking 3 personnel, a 2nd shift Production Supervisor and two 3rd shift Production Supervisors, to join their leadership team and develop their management skills. This company is a well-known food manufacturer that has been providing fresh locally processed, high-quality products for 30+ years. They are looking for someone who will be responsible for manufacturing, efficiency, inventory, safety, and maintenance for the department and shift, assessing needs and helping to achieve company and facility goals in collaboration with other department supervisors and management. They have an excellent group of employees who are highly trained and are looking for a true leader. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage and coach the team to success, insure manufacturing productivity and efficiency for the shift 
  • 2nd shift is 2-11pm M-F, rotating every 3rd Saturday.  3rd shift is Sun-Thurs 7pm-5am, another 3rd shifts 5pm-5am on a 3-4 day on/off rotating schedule 
  • Collaborate with other shift departments. 
  • Follow and enforce all policies and procedures, both company and regulator 
  • Ensure safety of all employees 
  • Trouble shoot and work with Maintenance team. 
  • Communicate with the Management team on shift performance and production, both planning and issue resolution 

The ideal candidate holds: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing facility, preferably dairy. 
  • Need to be highly motivated, have great communication and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform all manufacturing operations. 
  • Familiarity working with data management programs. 
  • Strong understanding of GMP’s and Food Safety 
  • Leadership mindset, great communication, and drive
