Ironworker Foreman
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ironworker Foreman to lead field crews on structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ironwork experience and the ability to safely and efficiently manage crews in the field.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead ironworker crews on structural steel projects
- Coordinate daily field activities and manpower
- Read and interpret structural drawings and erection plans
- Direct rigging, connecting, bolting, and steel erection operations
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, and other trades
- Monitor jobsite progress and communicate updates to management
- Maintain quality and ensure proper installation of structural steel
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Train and mentor crew members as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of ironwork or structural steel erection experience
- Previous Foreman or Lead experience preferred
- Strong understanding of structural steel erection, rigging, connecting, and bolting
- Ability to read structural drawings and erection plans
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- OSHA safety knowledge
- Willingness to work on active construction sites and travel as required
