An established Houston-area law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its litigation practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take the next step in their career, develop their litigation skills, and gain meaningful experience handling complex business disputes.
The ideal candidate is a strong legal writer, analytical thinker, and collaborative professional who enjoys the challenges of commercial litigation and takes pride in delivering exceptional representation to clients.
Handle a variety of commercial and business litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex civil litigation.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
Manage written discovery, document production, and case preparation.
Take and defend depositions.
Assist with and participate in mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams.
Manage deadlines and maintain organized case files.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
2–4 years of commercial litigation experience.
Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
