Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
This role is hands-on, highly operational, and designed for someone who understands how financial decisions impact the field in construction, manufacturing, or mechanical environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Create and maintain a fully integrated forecast covering income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and longer-term planning using operational drivers
Evaluate project and production performance using job-cost and percentage-of-completion concepts
Link labor efficiency, backlog, productivity, and pricing trends to margin results
Translate operational execution into cash flow and working capital visibility
Evolve reporting from historical variance explanations to forward-looking analysis
Partner directly with operational leaders to support decision-making and execution
Establish structure, discipline, and scalable FP&A processes as the business grows
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, blue-collar operating environment with limited existing structure
Experience and Background
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required; advanced credentials such as an MBA or CPA are preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance
Prior experience within construction, manufacturing, or mechanical services environments is required
Demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and forecasts from the ground up
Advanced Excel capabilities with strong attention to detail and data integrity
Hands-on experience with ERP, planning, and business intelligence platforms, including COINS, Datarails, OneStream, and Power BI
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical application of accounting standards
Proven track record of partnering closely with operations and senior leadership
Comfortable creating order, processes, and discipline in environments that are still maturing
Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
